There was a mid-year change in 1951 to the doors of this truck. Early 1951 models did not have wing vent windows, and they had exterior door handles that turned down. If your door has wing vent windows, you’ll want 0846-156.

This passenger side door shell for GM pickup trucks fits model years 1947 to 1951.

It’s designed from heavy stamped steel and has been coated with EDP to boost its resistance to corrosion. You’ll be impressed with the longevity of these products.

We recommend purchasing this product if you’re looking to avoid New-Old Stock (NOS) in favor of a high-quality alternative that conforms to the original manufacturing dimensions and durability.

When replacing a lower door skin, we recommend using a door skin hammer to re-pinch the edges of the panel around the door shell. When buying the full door shell you can skip this step. To keep rust from forming inside the door due to pooling water you should coat the inside of the door with cavity wax or other rustproofing material after installation.
