Description

Lizard Skin Sound Control is a one-part, water-based acrylic coating that can easily be sprayed onto the interior or exterior of your ride. Unlike sound control mats, LizardSkin SC provides an even, seamless coverage to whatever you are applying it to. It is non-toxic and Class A fire-rated, and can reduce noise by up to 15dB. In addition to the noise reduction qualities, it will also drastically reduce panel attenuation (vibration – smack the roof of your project car and you’ll hear it).

Lizard Skin Sound Control also makes a great replacement for the flooring in your truck or Jeep. Whether you’re sick of dealing with damp carpeting, or you just don’t want to go through the hassle of taking your seats out in order to install a new vinyl mat, LizardSkin SC can help. Simply remove your old flooring, clean the floor area, and spray LizardSkin SC on the floor. You can leave as-is, or spray a topcoat sealer (paint or clear coat) to make it easier to clean, and you’re done.

Since it’s water-based, clean up is simple – Just use soap and water.

A one gallon pail covers approximately 22-25 square feet, and a two gallon pail covers approximately 46-50 square feet at .040-.060 inch thickness. A one gallon pail will typically cover the floor of a mid-size car, or most of the cab of a regular cab truck.

If applying both the Ceramic Insulation and the Sound Control, apply the Sound Control first, let dry, and then apply the Ceramic Insulation.

Both products can be topcoated as well. You can either apply a topcoat directly to the product, or you can sand the product down before applying your topcoat.

Shelf Life for the Sound control is 2 years from the manufacture date.

Answered by the admin So this is a sound control, it is not a bed liner. We do sell a bed liner it is recommended that you spray it on. I have not had a customer tell us about it being rolled on, but it may be possible.
    2. I am serious thinking about using your Lizard skin sound and heat barrier products on board my 1978 O'Day 30' sailboat. First my thought was to control the engine noise from my little noisy Yanmar 24 Horse diesel. Then I thought why not apply the heat barrier as well. Since I'm planning a trip starting from Florida to New York, New Foundland, Ireland, The Mediterian Sea( Spain, Italy), Azores, St. Barts and back to Florida. I wanted you to know the water tempurature differences of both water & weather. Humidity & dampness are both major factores that whatever product I use will be test... Read more
