Rusfre Do-It-Yourself Truck Bed Protective Coating Kit in Black (for 8′ bed, Covers 201 sq ft @ 4 mils)

This durable two component urethane coating can be applied to metal, wood and fiberglass. It protects the interior truck bed from scratches, stain, salt, rust and corrosion. It bonds directly to paints and primers and flexes with truck movements. Simply clean and scuff surface prior to application. This sprayed coating not only looks great, it protects against a wide range of extreme weather conditions and is U.V. resistant.

The kit contains:

(4) 30 fl oz truck bed liner
(1) 40 fl oz truck bed liner hardener
(1) Mixing cup
(1) Applicator gun

Can be combined with Anti Skid Grit (1005) to achieve an anti-skid coating.

Heavily damaged coating areas can also be repaired by using a 40 oz can (1004-40T), sold separately.

    Surface Prep:
    1. Wash truck bed area thoroughly with soap and water.
    2. Clean truck bed with wax and grease remover. Clean fiberglass surface with plastic parts cleaner. Wipe dry while the surface is still wet.
    3. Remove all rust.
    4. Sand bare metal area with 80-180 grit abrasive. Sand old finish with 180 or 220 grit abrasive, re-clean with wax and grease remover. Allow to dry thoroughly.
    5. Mask entire vehicle except area to be coated including locks and hinges.
    6. Prime bare metal areas.

    Mix Ratio: 3:1
    3 parts of Part A: 30 oz in each can.
    1 part of Part B: 10 oz
    1. Measure 5 oz of activator and slowly poor into Part A. Replace lid on Part A can and shake for 1-2 minutes (can be placed in paint shaker). Measure another 5 oz of activator and slowly pour into Part A. Put the cap back on Part A and shake for 2 minutes by hand, or 1 minute on a paint shaker.
    2. Screw dip tube to gun. Attach the Truck Bed Protective Coating applicator gun to the mixed resin can.

    Spray:
    1. Adjust air pressure to 60-70 psi.
    2. Hold the applicator gun approximately 12-16″ from the surface to be sprayed.
    3. Coat the front and sides of the truck bed first, followed by the floor and finish with the tailgate.
    4. Remove the masking tape while coating is still wet.
    5. Allow 10-12 hours of drying time prior to use. Do not expose the truck bed to direct sunlight or rain for 8 hours after application.
