Rust Release will safely remove rust from steel, copper, iron, brass or aluminum and will not tarnish or pit unrusted metal. It is the safest and most effective all purpose rust removal solution. It will not damage surrounding materials, such as wood, plastic or paint, and is safe on your skin. Rust Release removes corrosion from metal without creating a waste disposal problem, so not only is it cost effective, it’s environmentally friendly!

Rust Release works faster and lasts longer than competing products such as Evapo-Rust and Metal Rescue. The primary reason being the pH and surfactant package that is in Rust Release. The pH on Rust Release is 5.5-6 making it a more industrial based product and still safe for disposal.

If you need a larger volume than what you see here, please call us as we can provide bulk quantities and dipping tanks. For larger, industrial use, 1 gallon of Rust Release can clean up to 300 pounds of rusted metal.

Use Rust Release on cars and trucks for any type of auto restoration projects. Rust Release is fantastic for automotive rust repairs.

There are three methods for using Rust Release to remove rust off of car parts and tools:

  1. Fill a container with Rust Release liquid and soak your items in it (soaking time varies based on amount of rust). Remove from tank and let dry.
  2. On light surface rust, spray your metal items with Rust Release and let dry.
  3. For items that cannot be dipped and soaked, such as a frame rail, soak a towel in Rust Release, place the towel on the area that you want to treat, wrap with plastic and let set, remove plastic when ready and wipe surface off.

A yes, you can, plan on reapplying quite a bit. submersion is best, aside from that the more you can keep it wet, the better. We did a YouTube video on the effects of wet rags being applied - found here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ajg0q-T3qf4

Answered by the admin No, it is mean to have the part submerged. If you are trying to do an outer body panel you would have to soak rags and keep it up against it somehow. It needs to stay wet to work and usually the long its on the better.
