This 1967-1972 Chevy Pickup Tailgate (Fleetside, w/ Chevrolet Lettering) fits 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 Chevy or GMC Pickup Truck.

The bed of your truck can haul anything from some camping gear to a load of gravel. No matter what’s going in and out of it, the tailgate is getting a workout. Water, dirt, and salt will also get trapped inside the tailgate causing corrosion and rust to form. Between the external wear and tear, and the internal corrosion, your truck’s tailgate is eventually going to break down and need to be repaired or replaced. We sell a wide selection of replacement tailgates as well as tailgate repair panels.

All of our replacement panels are constructed of heavy gauge stamped steel that meets or exceeds the thickness of the original body panel that it’s replacing. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part, which means that these aftermarket panels will be an exact match to the original part’s shape.

Each panel has an EDP coating for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over. For additional rust protection, we offer ZeroRust which is a rust-inhibiting paint, as well as DIY spray-on bedliner kits.

      This is the tailgate shell only. The handle (0849-420) and actuating rods (0849-422) are available, though.
