    Jeff, sorry for any confusion on this. The majority of our body panels have the black EDP coating, but some of the panels have a galvanized coating (not bare metal) in place of the EDP. This just happens to be one of those. It was recently changed from the EDP to galvanized. The galvanized panel that you received will actually hold up better than an EDP coated panel, so there should be no additional work on your part to prep and paint it.

    I used these last year to rehab an NB miata that had some pretty ugly rot along the rear rocker & arches. I used both sides (Pass & Driver) and they both fit perfectly. I’ve attached a picture of it before I did any filler or finish work. This panel plus a few hours and a $20 can of mixed paint at the local store will get you back in the game. Note that this is just the outer skin. Order the “rocker panel” if you need the bottom piece. Mine was okay except for the pinch rail which I replaced after this picture was taken.
