Rust doesn’t discriminate. It forms on almost every vehicle and on every exterior steel body panel. If you’re vehicle is exposed to salt spray, it’s most likely going to rust even faster, and usually by the time you see bubbles the situation is a lot worse than it appears. A lot of body panels will rust from the inside out, so those paint bubbles are like the tip of the iceberg. Poke it with your finger and all of the sudden you find a hole that goes completely through the panel. There’s also a good chance that the body panel behind or next to the bubbled one is also rusted. Rust is nasty, but we have the body repair panels to help fix your rust problems.

All of our rust replacement body panels are stamped steel. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part which produces an OEM-like fitment. The old panel will need to be cut out so that the new one can be welded in its place.

Each panel has a protective (EDP, Galvanized, etc.) coating for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over. For additional rust protection, we offer ZeroRust which is a rust-inhibiting paint, as well as a selection of undercoating materials.

Whether you need to replace a lower quarter panel, a dog leg, a footwell, or door pillar, we have the parts that you’re looking for. Fix the rust on your vehicle by ordering this 2000-2006 Suburban / Yukon Xl Rear Lower Quarter Section, Driver Side from Raybuck Auto Body Parts today.

Answered by the admin It would depend on how comfortable you are doing body work. You will need to cut out the rusted metal , weld in the new panel and finish the body work.
A If you are familiar with welding and bodywork you will be fine, the part fits very well and is made of quality metal not the thin stuff that is typical. This is a great part
A When I installed these parts, on both sides, I did minimal welding. Instead I used a backing plate and panel bond. In this YouTube he did an overlap with panel bond on the passenger side and did a butt joint with a backing plate on the driver's side. I did the backing plate on both sides and welded the bent sections. On the non-exposed joint behind the light I used rivets and left them in since they were not visible. Good luck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEz8oKG7PIE
A If you are good with a MIG the panels fit with a bit of fitting work. I sectioned mine to only replace the metal that was rusted.
