All of our fender patch panels are stamped steel. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part which produces an OEM-like fitment. The old panel will need to be cut out so that the new one can be welded in its place.
Each panel has a protective (EDP, Galvanized, etc.) coating for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over. For best finishing results we recommend scuffing the e-coat, priming, and then top coating with an automotive grade paint.

Although I have ordered this item twice before, and they were as advertised, my latest order were very substandard not as advertised no no EDP coating and shorter than the original. I would like to re-order but only the EDP coated product thank you

Hey Greg. Yes, the coating on this part changed from EDP to galvanized. That doesn’t affect the quality of the steel, though.
