Dimensions for a #5 hog ring- Open Crown/Width 5/8 in. to 3/4 in. 16 mm to 19 mm This is the widest part of the open "C" shape.
Wire Gauge 14 Gauge or 15 Gauge 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm This refers to the thickness of the wire itself.
Wire Diameter ≈0.080 in. to 0.093 in. 2.0 mm to 2.4 mm A lower gauge number means a thicker wire.
