Slip-On and Welded Rocker Panels

Slip-On Rocker Panels
A slip-on rocker panel is suitable if you have no welding equipment or experience, you only need to replace part of your rocker panels and you want an option with quicker prep. Cut any rusted areas of your current rocker panels off, and then cut the slip-on rocker to size and put it over the existing, non-rusted parts. Attach the rocker using rivets, screws or adhesives. Full-Welded Rocker Panels
With this attachment option, you need to fully remove your current rocker panels with a grinder and cut-off discs before installation. Then, you’ll weld the new rocker panel on. The result is a clean, smooth finish that works well when your current rockers are very rusty and you need a complete replacement. If you have the tools, experience and time, fully welded rocker panels help your SUV or pickup hold its value, and this repair will typically last longer than slip-on panels.
