This 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado, Chevy Avalanche, GMC Sierra Upper Rear Wheel Arch (Fleetside Only), Passenger Side fits 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2004, 2005, 2006 Chevy and GMC trucks.
The rear wheel openings on your vehicle are constantly sprayed with salt and road debris as you drive. It’s only a matter of time before the mix of water, salt, and mud causes corrosion to form on your Silverado’s wheel arch. Before you know it, you see the dreaded paint bubbles starting to form around the lip of the truck’s wheel arch. The good news is that if you catch it in time, you can sometimes replace just the area of the arch that’s rusting out. If paint is already falling off, and you’re able to poke your finger through the side of your vehicle, you may need to replace the entire wheel arch and possibly the inner wheelhouse. Whether the rear wheel opening on your vehicle is just starting to bubble, or is completely rusted out, we have the wheel arch repair panels to help you fix your rust problem.
All of our wheel arch patch panels are stamped steel. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part which produces an OEM-like fitment. The old panel will need to be cut out so that the new one can be welded in its place.
For most trucks, if you’re not as worried about the appearance, you can usually slip these arches over top of your existing panel and secure them with an adhesive like Silaprene. If doing this, we still highly recommend cutting out as much of the rust as possible, and sealing the rusted area with a rust-inhibiting paint, like ZeroRust, prior to installing the new arch.
Each panel has a protective (EDP, Galvanized, etc.) coating for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over. For best finishing results we recommend scuffing the e-coat, priming, and then top coating with an automotive grade paint.
Whether you need to replace the whole wheel arch or just a portion of it, we have the parts that you’re looking for. Replace your rusted wheel arch by ordering this 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado, Chevy Avalanche, GMC Sierra Upper Rear Wheel Arch (Fleetside Only), Passenger Side from Raybuck Auto Body Parts today.

Another great experience. I wanted to catch the rust early before it got above the plastic flairs of my 2002 2500HD. I trimmed the patches down for both sides of the bed and found that the panels fit the contours almost perfectly with the repair being full hidden under the HD flair. Since they are apparently made of thicker steel than stock plus I took additional steps to prevent future rust out, I don’t expect to need to revisit this area again during my ownership.
Be sure to check the outer wheel house underneath as it may be rusted too. It was easy to replace those at the same time after cutting out the rusty outer flair.
