Description

This slip-on rocker panel driver side fits 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra extended cab trucks.

Rocker panels take a beating from the elements and road debris. They are some of the first body panels on your vehicle to start showing signs of wear, and will usually be one of the first panels to rust out. If you’re thinking “I’d rather fix my rust than buy a new vehicle”, you’ve come to the right place.

All of our rocker panels are constructed of heavy gauge stamped steel that meets or exceeds the thickness of the original body panel that it’s replacing. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part, which means that these aftermarket panels will be an exact match to the original part’s shape. Since the panels are an exact match, the old panel will need to be cut out so that the new one can be welded in its place. The exception to this is slip-on panels. Any panel labeled as “Slip-on” can be placed over top of the original panel, and secured with an adhesive, like Silaprene, rivets, welded, etc.

Each panel is also e-coated for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over.

Whether you need to replace the driver side, passenger side, or both, we have the parts that you’re looking for. Fix the rust on your rocker panels by ordering this 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra extended cab slip-on rocker panel from Raybuck Auto Body Parts today.

** Cutting is required in areas where suicide doors latch

*** Will not work with trucks that do not have a rear door on the driver’s side.

We've had a number of customers with Canadian-made vehicles state that the rear doors would not shut properly once this rocker was installed. Could simply be an issue with the rear door latch mechanism, but we don't have a definitive answer.

    6. Is this the weld on rocker panel? Also do I need to get the inner rocker pane as well?

A Slip on ones usually request a 2 part adhesive. I did weld these exact ones on my 2002 Silverado 1500. I drilled small holes in the top lip and than tack welded all of them and than slipped the weather stripping over it and no weird markings or anything that are visible. I do recommend using a stone guard on the entire panel as that’ll provide better protection than the factory primer. Watch your corner ends when fitting these rockers.
A You don't need the inner unless it's really bad and has nothing to weld or adhere to. I personally did not weld the one I put on but will on the next set I put on. It's all preferences and depends on how bad the rust is.
A I have used these numerous times. You can replace inner but is a big big job . I add metal to bottom of inner rocker to create a lip to weld to..I weld at pinch weld on top where weather strip goes then weld to inner rocker where I have added a lip to weld to.
