Description

Order a 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado Rocker Panel Extended Cab with rear Suicide Doors, Drivers Side from Raybuck. Also fits 1999-2006 GMC Sierra Extended cab with rear suicide doors. On a very infrequent basis we have seen cabs that are different towards the rear. When installing this new rocker there ends up being a large gap between it and the cab corner. We have not been able to determine the rhyme or reason to this yet but will post an update once we do.

When selecting any part for your pickup, please make sure that you are selecting the correct cab style: Standard/Regular Cab has two doors and no rear seating area, Extended Cab has two rear suicide doors that open towards the bed of the truck and do not have exterior door handles, Crew Cab has four full doors that all open up toward the front of the truck.

This 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado rocker panel, driver side fits 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra extended cab trucks with rear suicide doors. Whether you have a 2003 Chevy Silverado that’s starting to show rust or a 2000 GMC Sierra that has dings and dents in the rocker, this rocker panel will get your truck looking like new.

Rocker panels take a beating from the elements and road debris. They are some of the first body panels on your vehicle to start showing signs of wear, and will usually be one of the first panels to rust out. If you’re thinking “I’d rather fix my rust than buy a new vehicle”, you’ve come to the right place.

All of our rocker panels are constructed of heavy gauge stamped steel. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part which produces an OEM-like fitment. The old panel will need to be cut out so that the new one can be welded in its place. The exception to this is”Slip-on”panels. Any panel labeled as “Slip-on” can be placed over top of the original panel, and secured with an adhesive, like Silaprene, epoxy, rivets, welded, etc.

Each panel is also e-coated for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over.

Whether you need to replace the driver side, passenger side, or both, we have the parts that you’re looking for. Fix the rust on your rocker panels by ordering this 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra OEM-Style rocker panel extended cab with 3rd and 4th suicide doors, driver side from Raybuck Auto Body Parts today.

I am NOT a professional body guy! Bought driver side inner rocker, outer rocker, and cab corner for my 2005 Silverado SS (ext cab – two small rear doors). The outer was great. Thick material and nice to work with. The outer was stickered that it was made in Bavaria or something like that in Europe, NOT China. (Inner rocker and cab corner were China.)

Slight issues – The area for the rear door latch (at the B pillar) was lower than the original, so had to install some shims in the lower catch to get it to properly line up. The front and back lined up perfectly, however, and there is no way to bend that outer rocker! Another slight issue that I had was that one of the curve in the rear was not bent as tight as it was on the OE body panel, so that took a little massaging, but things like that are what I consider normal issues.

Would I buy again? Yes! It took me a long time between getting my order and taking the time to install. I’ve done this sort of work before, but I had a garage that I could leave the vehicle in as long as I needed. I’ll be ordering the passenger side parts once it gets warmer. Thanks Raybuck!

Outstanding rocker panel replacement, heavy gauge steel. Will last much longer than the thin factory panels. I’ve been repairing vehicles for over fifty years these are the best panels I’ve ever used. Thank you for your fast shipping and high quality panels.

Awesome quality but I happened to be one of the few with slightly larger cabs (02 GMC Duramax) …. The front lines up well but I’ve got about 1/4 or 3/8 gap in the cab corners…. Not sure what to do with those. Also the flange that mates with the cab floor panel were not flush so they needed some influencing to straighten out for solid contact.

I’ve ordered from other vendors in the past .these items from Raybucks auto are just as good or if not better than a OEM part. I would recommend Raybucks to everyone and anyone. The customer service people are just as good . I’ve called a few times and talked with them and even asked for professional help. They are 10 star company. You would be a fool not to order from Raybucks.

Unfortunately I couldn’t use the slip on because my Silverado was made in Canada, but these rockers were perfect. The material is thicker than the factory steel, so it took a few cutoff wheels to cut the section I was replacing, but I am extremely pleased with the quality in material and shape… perfect match! Purchasing these did allow me to go a bit further outside of what slip-ons would allow which did help me hide my seams better and some of my crappier welds (I am a relatively inexperienced welder). Great product, fast delivery (2 days I believe), and good overall experience; will be ordering from raybuck again in the future. Thanks guys!

Nice heavy gage steel, good quality bends/form.
On my truck they were just a little short, about 1/4″ or so. Had to do some creative welding to get them right.
    Overall happy with quality.

I can’t believe how heavy this rocker is. I bought both sides and had a hard time moving the box around that they came it. Quality is right on.

I’ve bought parts from other place before but never had one as thick as this! This is a thicker gauge than what originally came on the truck. Will definitely be buying more from Raybucks.

A From a retired Body Shop professional and painter that you are asking for a you tube or blog that you have no idea what it takes to replace these properly. My advice is to find an auto body person that does it on the side as most body shops don't do this kind of work anymore.
A This isn’t an easy watch a video project. To do it right, you need the proper tools, welder etc… for asking this you should hire someone to do it. There is a lot involved. Taking off the doors for one.

The 81" measurement is actually the widest part across the top of the rockers. the bottom of the rocker measures 79". These rockers tuck under the fender as well as the cab corner, so that's most likely why you're measurements are different than what we have listed.

A As Steve (Admin) already answered, these rockers have the front part of the outer rocker included in the stamping. If you don't need the front part, you just cut off what you don't need. I had gone out and taken a picture of mine that I literally just finished and have not even thrown the cutoffs away yet, but we can't post pix in the answers. I used about 68" of the outer rocker, less of the inner. The outer was made in Europe, the inner was China. The outer is THICK and excellent to work with, though I did have to tweak at the back because one of the curves was not an exact match. This is go... Read more
