How to Change Your 1997 Silverado’s Headlights
Replacing your Silverado’s headlights is easier than you might expect. Here’s how:
- Remove your truck’s grille guard or any other aftermarket add-ons, if applicable.
- Remove the parking lights by removing the four screws holding in each one.
- Remove the corner light by turning and pulling.
- Remove the screw above the bowtie.
- Remove the four screws for each headlight and remove the bulbs.
- Install the replacement lights and conduct the procedure in reverse for reinstallation.
Additional Tips
If you’re replacing the headlight assembly — just the housing and lenses, rather than the bulbs — you don’t need to remove the grille.
